Automatic identification of the user by radio-frequency (RF), MIFARE. Passive numbered tag, contains a chip that when approached to the reader receives an induced current that activates it. When activated (electromagnetic induction) it returns a code to the system so requires no battery.
Communicates with the reader via an RF antenna at 13.56MHz.
Keyring format with plastic body and two metallic rings.
